Hello all, I have a question regarding aggregate calculation. I have goals in one table for the total sum, and I have a PoS level table. I want to join these two and see how the PoS level table is faring against it's goals.
Goal table:
PoS table:
I came up with the key, because the goals are based on Florida market and product category. I join the keys together, and straight enough the PoS table correctly calculates for each category against it's goals. However, I want to see total goals for a particular category, it fails.
When I do a quick sum on Goal, it's adding up the entire column. How do I make the totals appear in the red circle dynamically, depending on what I select? I know that my tables are at a different grain, but this is a requirement I have to work with.

If I create a measure like this:
Measure 2 = CALCULATE(SUM(Goals[Goal]))
I get the correct total displayed, 1,250 where your red circile is, is that what you want?
Hi Greg, it's working only if I include the fields from the goals table. If I want to slice and dice from the PoS table, it's acting up.
