Sum by month

Hi everyone, i need help to do a very simple calculation but i can't find the right way to do it. I have already readed many post but no one with my case.

So i have two tables, one with the data and the other one is just the date table.

the data table has de following format:

the date table hasta the following format:

So i want a visualization having the "month-year" column from the data table, and the sum of "cant" for that month-year. The tables are already relationed.

But i just cant get it, it only brings me the current month summarize.

Hi @agustiny , are you able to share your pbix. It looks likely to be a filtering or relationship issue

Hi @agustiny , are you able to share your pbix. It looks likely to be a filtering or relationship issue

Can´t share de pbix because it's a direct query to a oracle database. It's strange because with another dataset i could do it with out a problem. Could be something on the dataset?

No worries, are there many filters affecting that visual, or do you have any CALCULATE measures with filters in them?

What happens when you set the month-year field in your visual to "Show items with no data" (see here)

Thanks for answering. I don't know why, but it seems to be a problem in the query that brings de dataset to power bi. I just added a to_date in front of the column and it worked fine.

Thanks you anyway @mattww
