Let me give you an example just to give you context. You want to plot the following:
- All physical locations for McDonald's restaurants with a dot (no latitude/longitude coordinates...only physical addresses)
- All physical locations for supply vendors for McDonald's restaurants with a pin (ex: color coded by = meat / drink / bread / misc)
Ultimately, the scope of this map should be quite complex. The vast number of global locations, color coding of the various vendors, etc. I am struggling with something simular. I have an imported query which has addresses and would like to plot multiple locations in conjunction with another data point.
Problem:
1. I cannot get the locations to be accurate. I have physical addresses and have the data categories correctly marked as either address/city/state/zip/country but it will not accurately plot the location
- EX: Country location clearly marked as Brazil but no location on the map
2. Unable to plot more than 1,500 addresses AND more than 1 data point
- EX: I can only plot a physical McDonalds store location. Not able to plot the supply vendors for McDonalds
3. The bubbles on the map are just too big...why can't I get it to look like the ArcGIS bubbles?
Anyone have any examples or suggestions on how you would approach creating an interactive/dynamic map which will be able to have accurate multiple data points which will be visually appealing?
So much gratitude for this community of datanauts!
