Storing PBIX Files on sharepoint or shared folder, saves older version of BI

I have the most up to date version of BI installed on my desktop (2.70.5494.761 64-bit (June 2019)). I have it saved to my computer.

I will save the file to sharepoint folder, so that others can access. However, when I try to open the file from the sharepoint folder, it opens the file in an older version of BI: (2.68.5432.841 32-bit (April 2019))

Does anyone know why it does this, and how to fix it?

Thanks in advance!

HI @Riley-Byrne ,

I think you are install multiple power bi desktop version on your device right? Pbix file stored version info but this not means it will use specified power bi desktop version to open this file. (It will use last opened power bi desktop client or default app to open pbix file)

Ahh that might be it! So would I just need to uninstall the older version? @v-shex-msft

HI @Riley-Byrne ,

AFAIK, new version compatibility with old version features, I think you can remove old one and test again.
