Stopping Auto Load and Auto Refresh of Data in Power BI Desktop

Hi,

Is it possible to stop the auto load of data whenever I open Power BI desktop file?

Also is it possible to stop the auto refresh/auto load of data whenever I change my visualizations (change of items in fields, change of visualization type, etc) in Power BI desktop?

I am using DirectQuery as storage mode and dealing with sql data which are using union. It takes some amount of time to reflect the changes in my visualization due to the auto load and auto refresh whenever I change something in Power Desktop.

Appreciate your help.

Best regards,

Mark

Hi Mark,

I would suggest you create an idea here. I'm afraid the Direct Query needs to cache some data in the current versions of the Desktop.
