Stop Zoom out in map visual after deselecting slicer

Hi,

I have a map visual which shows the location of customers. When I select a customer via a slicer the map visual will zoom out and show only the customer I have selected. Looking at other topics I understand the zoom out is not yet to be fixed.

When I zoom in manually I want to be able to deselect the customer in the slicer and stay at the same zoom level. So I can easily see which customers are in the same area.

Is there a way to stay at the same zoom level after deselecting the customer in the slicer?

Regards,

Guido

@Anonymous,

In Map visual , there is an auto zoom option, when you turn it off, you can have the zoom level stick after you select and deselect slicer, please check if the option meets your requirement.

Yes I turned off auto-zoom, but it still zooms out after deselecting the slicer.

@Anonymous,

The zoom option is for the whole map visual, but not for specific value(Circle), you can submit an feature request in the Power BI ideas forum.

Yes but should it not be that when I deselect the slicer it does not zoom either in or out?

@Anonymous,

I sent you a Private Message which displays you  the effect when turning off auto zoom in map visual. If you need to retain the zoom level of specific circles, please submit an idea.

I"m having this problem with an ArcGIS map in power BI, but there is no "map controls." Am I out of luck?

@Zarlot531I too struggle with the usability of ArcGIS maps. I'm mapping in one specific area of the US, and every time I select a differenct year from a slicer, it zooms out three levels and re-centers elsewhere.

Also, the reference layers are badly titled and VERY limited in the geographic areas they cover.

To get into the details of an ArcGIS map, click the elipsis in the upper right corner and select Edit. (Took me a while to find that one as well 😞 )
