Stop Power Query from reloading from source each step while editing

I am connecting to Salesforce.

The first three steps including Navigation and Expand of one of Subtables take approx. 10-15 seconds to show the first 1000 rows.

Now when I add simple steps, like filter, rename, etc. it looks like it reloads all the data again to show the first 1000 rows.

(When I say reloads, I don't mean it reloads to the model, but to preview first 1000 rows in Query Editor)

So those 15 seconds is my waiting time each time I add a step or go back to any step.

This is alot of waiting time.

I was thinking of coping some of the data to a manual table and switching back to Salesforce connection when I am finished writing all the steps, but is there a better way to improve the editing times?

Thanks!

If you apply any changes in EditQuery it will refresh the preview automatically and when you click close & apply the table and related tables will be refreshed. The loading time will depend on your network and type of source etc. You could try data dataflow https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/transform-model/service-dataflows-create-use. Since it is a cloud service, the load time will be improved.
