Starts with containing wildcard

I have column A with text, column B with text.

I want to add a conditional column like this

=if(column A starts with "W" and column B starts with "W", "True", "False")

Re: Starts with containing wildcard

If you are trying in DAX, have you tried this:

Column C = IF(LEFT(Table1[Column A],1)="W" && LEFT(Table1[Column B],1)="W",TRUE(),FALSE())

Re: Starts with containing wildcard

Example in Power Query:

let
    Source = #table(type table[Column A = text,Column B = text],{{"Why?","When?"},{"Who?","How Many?"},{"You?","What?"},{"They","Me"}}),
    #"Added Custom" = Table.AddColumn(Source, "Both Start With W?", each Text.StartsWith([Column A],"W") and Text.StartsWith([Column B],"W"))
in
    #"Added Custom"
