Start Date of Time Slider in ArcGIS

Hi.

I am trying to show how the growth has been over time in the time slider. I want to make sure that the the start date is constant, and for wach interval i want to add the growth from the last one until end date. But unfortunatly both front and end of timer moves when I press play. Is there a way to freeze the start date?

Since the linked case is about three years old, I was hoping that there was a way around this now?
