Stacked Bar Chart with Shapes

Hello Everyone,

Good Morning! / Good Afternoon! / Good Evening!,

Hope you all are doing well. I am stuck at something and totally unaware of what to do next.

So I am working on Power BI and I need to create a viz which is quite similar to what I have created on Tableau. While Tableau allows me to move a measure to the secondary axis and change the outlook of the viz there (for example column chart on primary axis and shapes chart on secondary axis) I am not sure if something like that can be done here.

I would like to have your expert advice as I am new to Power BI. I am mainly trying to represent from a sales manager perspective:

Total Sales + Opportunites in hand and compare it with the Target/ Quota.

So I am looking to create a stacked chart for Total Sales and Opportunities and within the same graph want to represent quota either as a Gantt line or a customized shape.

Hoping to get a response soon. Thanks in advance 🙂

Regards,

Saurabh Sood

HI @Saurabh_Sood,

>>So I am looking to create a stacked chart for Total Sales and Opportunities and within the same graph want to represent quota either as a Gantt line or a customized shape.

Nope, stacked chart not support display gantt lines, and it also not support show custom shape.

For your scenario, I think R visual will be support, it support to show the custom shapes.

If above not help, please share more detail contents to help us clarify your goal.(for e.g. screenshots, sample data, table structure...)

Hi @Saurabh_Sood,

Is there a custom visual or solution in Power BI to plot shapes (markers) on a rating scale to display current and desired values?

I have a similar challenge I'm working through:

Multiple question ratings in one visual (scale 1 to 5)

Thanks

Kevin

Hi Xiaoxin Sheng,

Thanks for your prompt reply 🙂

Your answer definitely helps me. Just to elaborate little more on what I am trying to do, I have attached a screenshot below which is how I represented the performance of Sales Person using Tableau. Hope you can help

Hi @Saurabh_Sood,
