Specifying the legend on a Synoptic Panel visualisation

I'm using hexagons to represent how a territorial authority is performing according to a range of indicators. I've managed to get the hexagons to be coloured according to performance via the "States" function. For example, if greater than or equal to 90% colour it blue. I'm trying to get the 'performance' to come up as a Legend. However, if I select Legend I just get the names of each of the territorial authorities and the colour it corresponds to.

How do I switch it to using the "States"?

Hi @EMC .

Not certain what is your expected output. Did you want legend's color is matched with state's color?

If so, you can set the states color first, then enable 'show all' in Data color tab and adjust it to match with States color.

If not, you can share more details about this for further discussion.

Sample file and expected output would help tremendously.

This is what it looks like at the moment. As you can see the legend has the Local Board names and corresponding colours.

I would like the bottom legend to have how the Local Boards are going. E.g., Dark blue = above 90%, etc

Hi @EMC ,

As I previous posted, you can enable 'Show all' options in the 'Data Color' tab and adjust each legend color which is matched with each board color manually.

I did "Show all" but that didn't work

I want to be able to change what the words in the legend are. I don't want the State/Local Board names, I want to change them to - "above 90%" etc

Hi @EMC ,

Based on my test, legend name cannot be changed conditionally in this visual. Since this is a custom visual, we cannot change the settings for it by ourselves, perhaps you could try to contact the owner of the custom visual: https://okviz.com/synoptic-panel/

@EMC not sure if it is possible but I would recommend checking with the developer since it is a custom visual.
