Power BI Desktop works with my Navision server locally.
The 'server : port' respond to 'telnet {server FQDN} {port}' request remotly so I know remote connectivity is active through the corporate firewall.
If I try and connect remotly the connection fails, do I need to install a Gateway to allow the Power BI cloud services to connect?
I was under the imperssion that Navision included an OData gateway as standard.

Hi @CharlesC-PECC,
Actually, we always configure the On-premises data gateway when we set data refresh in Power BI Service.
I have found a similar thread which has been solved you could refer to.
If you need to use OData link to connect the data source, you may could have a reference of this blog.
Best Regards,
Cherry
