Sorting two datasets on common date

Hi,

I am trying to compare Actuals vs Budget (in two different datasets) and sort on date in a visual view with date on the Axis. Only one of the datasets "understands" that it is beeing sorted and shows monthly cost, while the other is showing total total amount (all dates) for all months.

I have connected the datasets with a relationship on account number. This works when comparing total cost on each account.

Is there a solution for this?

hi, @Anonymous

You could try this way to create the data model as below:

Step1:

Add a date dim table and account number dim table.

Step2:

Then create the relationship as below:

Step3:

Now, use account number from Account Dim table and date from Date Dim table to create the visual  Actuals vs Budget.
