Sorting list of dates by month

I have two spreadsheets of help tickets. The sheets are linked in BI by ID number. I want to show all the tickets in both sheets that occurred in the month of May. I would like to place a slicer in the report that filters by the year, and then filters by the month. It can be two slicers or one. I already transformed the date columns in sheet to MM/YYYY format.

Hi @jgreen12

I think your requirement is possible to achieve, could you share some data so that I can easily understand and solve it?

Best regards

Maggie

I would suggest to create a table called DimDates and link the two sheets to that table by the date column. Then create the slicer on the DimDates.

It has many advantages (and of course downsides)
