I have a column chart that is sorted by the Count value. However, when it is filtered (from another visualization on the page), it keeps the sort order from the totals, and the filtered counts are out of sequence. Customer is requesting this be corrected. Does anyone know if this possible? Thanks! Rob
Solved! Go to Solution.
The problem is the visual is sorting off the total, not the highlighted amount. If you adjust the interation to filter instead of highlight then when the user selects an element in another visual your bar chart will show only the filtered amounts and should sort correctly.
You would have to select the visual where the user is making the selection then change the interaction on the bar chart.
Format Tab > Edit Interactions.

Excellent! Haven't had to do this before- this is exactly what is needed. Fortunately, I don't think there is a requirement to see the highlighted totals, so this should be fine.
