I am having trouble sorting data and keep receiving this error.
"We can't sort the 'x' column by 'y'. There can't be more than one value in 'y' for the same value in 'x'."
The 'x' column is text and sorted alphabetically currently. The 'y' column is literally a column I created called 'sort order' and it is numbers. This worked a day ago, but after updating data and refreshing it within powerbi the graphs will no longer sort properly.
I have no idea what this error means or how to fix it. Any help will be very much appreciated.

@bshunta,
The above error occurs when you have different order values in y column for duplicate values in x column, please review the following example.
Make sure that the order values in y column are same for duplicate values in x column. And you will be able to use the sort by column feature.
Regards,
Lydia
