Hi All,

I need help for sort by column in Power BI. It’s a graphical representation (Clustered Column Chart Type) based on MMMYY column on axis and Matrix presentation (data show on rows) of data  and columns has MMMYY with values.

Query represent MMMYY column is as varchar(20) and there is ‘Num’ column as integer on which basis we can do sorting.

Right now Result is

Hi @NehaSha

Hi @NehaSha

You may link the order table and data table. Then use Num column to sort the MMMYY column. For example:

Hi @v-cherch-msft ,

Thanks for your reply!

I tried both below mentioned ways :

1st . select the sort by column and choose Num as by default

2nd . Create a calendar table and columns MMMYY and SortOrder to create a relationship with other table and tried to sort on sortOrder column but didnt work for me. Please suggest!POWERbI sORTING.png
