Sort by Ascending Colum

Hi,

Im having trouble sorting a calculated column (Won Revenue) in ascending order . By Default it sorts in decending order but i cant get it to go the other way. Im using a clustered bar chart this is the default sort

When is select to sort the chart in ascending order it sorts by name field in alphabetical order. alphabetical.PNG

Is there an easy way to correct this or am i missing something,?

Thank-you!

Hi @JaredH,

If your chart not contains summary records, you can try to use sort by column feature.

Sort by column in Power BI Desktop

Hi @JaredH,

In the sort order you can select if it's highest to lowest or vice-versa no matter how you have you data defautl sort values.

As you can see in the images below the first one is the default that the graph does, after clicking in the Amount it gives me the option Z -A and after that it gives me A - Z, just select the correct option on your chart and should give you what you want.

This doesn't work for me. Clicking on A-Z doesn't have any effect.

I can sort either way on values but not on the axis variable itself.

Hi @tomwwagstaffRIT,

Have you tried cliking on Sort by Category first? Then after it's been activated, click Z-A or A-Z.
