I need to give the user the ability to filter a dashboard based on a dimension that is sorted by a value (Value represents the dimension that requires the most attention each day).
Basically i need to combine the functionality of a filter with the sort capabilities of a table. Any suggestions?
Thanks for the quick response.
The issue is that the filter would contain hundreds of items, and the user needs to be able to see the items that require the most attention at the top (based on a value).
In my mind, it would basically be a slicer that is sorted by a value.
Firstly, we can create a measure.
Measure = CALCULATE(COUNTROWS(your table))
Then we can filter the visual like this by the measure.
If it doesn't meet your requirement, kindly share your sample data and excepted result to me. Please upload your files to One Drive and share the link here.
Does that make sense? If so, kindly mark my answer as the solution to close the case please. Thanks in advance.
It didnt really make sense but i decided to use the matrix feature so that the users could basically filter down from the parent level to the child level. I believe that this accomplished my goal. Thank you for helping!
