Some help building a table that counts the number of entries on service per day

Hi. I need some help in creating a table that counts the number of records on service per day and would appreciate some help?

I have the following fields:

Count

Pathway

Status

Start Date

End Date (if not present, use today's date)

I think this needs to broken into a few steps but I am struggling to get working filters.

Stage 1

Establish if we should include the record based on the following:

Establish the value of BDS per 

IF Status is Failed Assessment then do not include

IF DATE in date table does not appear between [Start Date] and [End Date], then do not include.

ELSE count each record as one BDS

Stage 2

Sum BDS by DAY by Pathway i.e.

DATE           Pathway Value 1             Pathway Value 2            Total BDS

01/01/2019 -         3                   -                 1                   -         4

02/01/2019 -         4                   -                 2                   -         6

03/01/2019 -         4                   -                 2                   -         6

04/01/2019 -         3                   -                 1                   -         4
