Snowflake connector not working in Power BI Desktop august 2021 update

Hi All,

The snowflake connector in Power BI Desktop stopped working for me after installing the august 2021 version of Power BI Desktop (64 bits / English). We receive the below error message in Dutch, the driver doesn't seem to be shipped with this installation:

Is anyone experiencing the same issue? If so, can this be fixed in the upfollowing version of Power BI Desktop?

Yes, same thing, my snowflake connection are not responsive.

Hi, as of today 08/27/2021, there is a new version of PBI Desktop that includes de Snowflake drivers once again

I downloaded the english, 64 bit installation. Still has the same problem for now. Downloaded a new version on 30-08-2021 (64 bits / English), Snowflake connector works again!

I have the same problem. Snowflake driver missing in Power BI Desktop August 2021 update. I had to uninstall and re-install the July 2021 update, for the moment.

Hi @Fenalytics ,

This error usually occurs when trying to set up a 32-bit ODBC driver on a Windows 64 bit system.

@Fenalytics , I am on August 2021, And I am able to connect. But I am using the version from store and upgraded from July 2021.

I have the installation from website (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=58494), not from the windows app. I tried it out on my other laptop, the files clearly seem to be missing:
