Hi there,
I'm trying to use the updated Snowflake Connector with support for Value.NativeQuery to execute a simple parameterized query and I'm wondering if its possible or just not supported yet. (I understand that I can change the actual SQL string and include the parameters, but I'd prefer to use the built-in parameterization for the sake of security and performance on the Snowflake side)
As a simplified example, I'd like to update this (which works):
Value.NativeQuery(DB, "select * from MATT_DEV.PUBLIC.USERS where ID=1", null, [EnableFolding=true])
To something like these (that don't work):
Value.NativeQuery(DB, "select * from MATT_DEV.PUBLIC.USERS where ID=?", {1}, [EnableFolding=true])
Value.NativeQuery(DB, "select * from MATT_DEV.PUBLIC.USERS where ID=:1", {1}, [EnableFolding=true])
Value.NativeQuery(DB, "select * from MATT_DEV.PUBLIC.USERS where ID=@p1", [p1=1], [EnableFolding=true])
All of these parameterized examples result in the following error:
Expression.Error: Native queries aren't supported by this value.
Details: [Table]
I appreciate any help! Thank you!
Matt
@matter , I doubt that is supported yet. I was also looking for the same.
@amitchandak have you been able to accomplish something similar via other methods? (like the standard ODBC connector?)
