Hi,
I have customers that require Power BI dashboards for projects and tasks being tracked across different Smartsheet sheets in a Workspace containing a few folders.
An 'overview sheet' has been created to provide a high level look at progress across projects and operations, which contains hyperlinks to the sheets containing more detail regarding the different specific projects.
I'd like to know if it is possible to access the 'keys' that maintain the relationships between sheets, where relationships have been created by users, almost like a Primary Key - Foreign Key relationship between the different sheets. I have not been able to find these 'key' fields for sheets that have been linked via hyperlinks in Smartsheet.
I'm hoping to load related sheets for improved reporting instead of a bunch (up to 30) of unrelated sheets that leads to reduced interactive capabilities and unnecessary report maintenance going forward.
Thanks.
Hi @Anonymous,
If I understand your requirements correctly, all these work should be done in the Power BI Desktop.
Is the Smartsheet the data source? If so, there aren't any sheets after you import these into the Desktop. They are data tables in the Desktop. You can establish many relationships in the Relationships pane.
The power-bi/desktop-drillthrough function would be helpful in your scenario.
Best Regards,
Dale
