Slow data refresh from Hive table in Power BI desktop

We are attempting to import data from hive on to a data model in PowerBI desktop.  There are about 5 million records and this takes almost 1.5 hours to load.  When we look into the SQL profiler results, the reading of data from the table in hive seems to be taking up a lot of the time - about 85 minutes.  The compression steps are only a few minutes in total.  How do we troubleshoot this further to understand where the bottleneck is?  Are there any settings we should be checking on at hive end or powerBI end or in the driver that could improve this load time?

Hi @MATH2020 ,

You could turn off the option in the settings dialog:

Options->Current File->Data Load->Auto Date/Time
