Slider including dates outside range when max selected

I have a slider slicer with a date field. I have the slicer filtered for only this year. When I include 1/1/2021 however, it seems to include all dates from previous years and not filter anything. Anybody know why it is doing this?

Hi @meddojeddo ,

Could not reproduce it in my side when I create a Date table and set visual filter on the slicer, it works fine.

Test version of Power BI Desktop: 2.96.901.0 64-bit (August 2021)

Please consider sharing more details about this issue or try to update Power BI Desktop to check it again.

@meddojeddo : How are you filtering the slicer for only this year? can you share a screenshot?

@ponnusamy I using a visual level filter on the slicer and setting it to only this year.
