Slicers do not filter each other

Hi all,

I have a date table that looks like the below, where the week number is formatted as whole number, and the date_id is formatted as date.

However when I insert slicers the two are not responsive to each other 100% of the time, and I can't figure out what is wrong.

I have made sure that I made the two slicers filter each other in the interactions. I have several other slicers in my report that works perfectly fine for geographical slicing. The only difference is that the geographical data are all formated as text, whereas in my date table one is a whole number and the other is a date. I have also tried formatting the week number as text, it does not solve the problem.

Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

Much appreciated.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Your report works fine in my machine. Maybe you could refresh it and create a new page to check if it works. Or you could install a latest version of Desktop to have a try.

Just a thought: have you checked that the text values are correct 100% of the time? If the slicer works some of the time, it may be that some weeks are wrongly added/calculated.

I had a similar case and it turned out the problem was this.

Hi Alice

Yes the week numbers are 100% correct. The link between the filters seem to break, after I have filtered once. For example, after I have chagned the dates, the week number usually changes. But now if I go and change the week number, the dates slicer does not respond anymore, and neither will the week slicer if I move the date slicer.

Joannali, would you have a sample .pbix so I can replicate this issue?

The slicers filter each other for usually the first time and then stops.
