Slicer values not dependent on clustered column selection

Hi All,

I've got a clustered column chart showing answer to a questionaire filled out by multiple people.

This clustered column chart simply shows the number of responses of a particular type (yes, no, maybe).

When I press on the column of interest, it does not filter the name slicer that I have.

However, if I change the name presentation from a slicer to a table, then pressing on the column of interest ('yes' for example) does filter the names (i.e. those that selected 'yes' in the questionaire).

Why is it that when I am presenting the names in a slicer that selecting a column in the clustered column chart does not filter the names in the slicer, but when I change the name visual to a table it does work?

Thanks for your help.

Hi V-shex,

Here's an example of what I'm talking about. The first image is with nothing selection and shows a clustered column chart, a slicer and a table. Both the slicer and the table have the same field in them (Letter). The second image is when the first column has been selected. It can be seen that the values in the table have been filtered so that only letters which have answered the first column are now seen, however the slicer has not been filtered at all. Is there a way to make it so that when I press the column, the slicer filters by the selection as well?
