Slicer that dynamically adapts its range based on the matrix selection

Hi,

can you please help to understand how to implement in the example below a slicer that dynamically adapts its range as soon as one or multiple row values in the first matrix (m1) are selected.

In the example below - after the selection of two rows in m1, the slicer should adapt its 'between range' to '8 - 15'. Then this slicer should be used for filtering the values in the second matrix - m2.

Thanks in advance!

Hi  @Olenka2304  ,

1. First, the slicer with value as the filter is used to limit the value values of M1 and M2. At this time, M1 and M2 will only display data in the restricted area of 8-15

2. Select the date in the week field through M1 of the restricted value, and apply it to m2

3. At this time, M2 is limited by both the slicer and the value of M1

I think you can replace M1 with slicer, which will make the display more intuitive and the effect is the same

Sounds like a dependency loop. M2 values should limit slicer, which then should limit M2?

I suggest making a copy of m2, let's call it m3. Let's call the slicer with the slider in the bottom S. Change m1 and m2 into slicers too, but without the slider. M1 date filters M2, M2 values filter S, and S filters M3 values.

Have a look at Format > Edit interactions, so that all the slicers only filter the tables they should.
