Slicer selection based on other slicer

Hi all,

I need your help to achieve this.

would like to select value of upper category slicer whenever lower category slicer value changes. Suppose we have data as shown below. Here If we select "apple", from lower category, "fruit" should be selected in upper category slicer.  We have line graph visuals which shows sales for both lower and upper category selected values. So we can see the proportion of "apple " sales as compared with its upper category

Thanks.

Hi @Anonymous ,

It's impossible to realize your idea in current version( 2.76.5678.782 64-bit (December 2019) ).
Maybe you can Submit your ideas .

Or how about using a Hierarchical Filter ?

Best regards,
Lionel Chen

@Anonymous
How's your data organised? If you have all data columns in one table, then you should get your desired behavior automatically. If you have  dimensional model with upper and lower category in different table and  your transactional data in a separate table, you will need to relationships between all tables.

Hi @Anonymous ,

thanks for your reply.

All data columns are belonged to one table. Upper category column is getting filtered as default behavior. But i want , the value should be selected (with ticked mark). Once ticked or selected then this value will show up on the graph

Thanks
