Slicer secret filters

Hi.

We have a problem with slicers that keep old records as some kind of "secret" filter. This happened to us several times but we havent been able to find any info about this behaviour. What happens is that when you have a filter on a record in a slicer and that record disapears in a data refresh, the slicer still keeps this filter even though it says its showing everything. And clearing all filters with a bookmark or with the "Clear" button in the slicer doesnt clear this secret filter.

Please see the attached file.

There is a filter on Customer A but this record has been replaced by Customer A2, still the slicer keeps a secret filter on Customer A. Clearing the filter doesnt help. Only way to get rid of the secret filter is to click on any customer in the filter and then uncheck it again. How can we clear these hidden filters?

If this is an issue, I believe it's as simple as turning off persistent filters.  See this article: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/announcing-persistent-filters-in-the-service/

If it's a large audience with this problem, then I recommend turning it off at the report level: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/announcing-persistent-filters-in-the-service/#Disable%20Opt...

Hopefully this will provide a simple fix for you!
