Slicer not working on calculated column

Help! My slicer isn't working on complex calculated column that utilizes a date dimension table. I think it has to do with the table relationship but I can't figure out how to fix it. I want to be able to fliter the left table with the slicer on the right. PBIX file is linked here. Thanks!

To change the direcction from single to both.

Is there a way to achieve this without changing the direction of the filter flow? This is a simplified version of a much more complex report file, and switching the direction of the filter flow creates some negative downstream cosequences.
