Slicer - need help with DAX

In my dashboard, I have a calculation that is shows inventory sold and available as a percentage.  I want to take it one step further and include a slicer that enables someone to isolate the data that shows when this calculation is:

  • between 90-99.99%
  • 100% or grater

In other words I would like to offer the user the ability to select one or both of these ranges in a slicer.

Looking for some DAX help - I think.

Thanks

@irnm8dn,

Consider to create a disconnect table that contains your measure names, then use slicer to filter visual to show different measures. For more details, please review the following blog. If the method doesn't help, please share dummy data of your table.

@v-yuezhe-msft

I am not sure that the disconnected table solves my need.

Essentially, I want a slicer that allows the data visualization to show if I have 90-99.9% sold, and another slicer that tells me if I am >100% sold.  My calculated column covers a wide range of calculations.

Can you help me connect the dots with the article you sent, or an alternative solution?

Thanks.

@irnm8dn,

Please help to share dummy data of your table and post expected result here.

Lydia

Hi,

I dont think that a measure can be used in a slicer.  Once you have computed the percentage, why dont you just drag that measure to the visual filter section and specify a criteria

Theanks for the suggestion, but I don't want every conceivable calculation to be a selectable option.
