Slicer level report comments

I have a requirement where report admin can write comments based on months.

i was thinking of using bookmark and selection pane and create months buttons, is it the right approach?

Create a new table with columns month and comments .
Then in the relationship join the month column with the dimension table month column.
In the visualization select card visualisation and select comment as the field and then use the month slicer to view the comments for different months.
