Slicer interaction with other visuals

Dear community,

I have a slicer for locations on my report page next to a map visualisation. the slicer format is a dropdown box. I want the slicer to display the selection i have picked on the map visual. For example if i click into the data point for London, i would like the slicer to display that london is selected. I have tried to solve this through editing interaction but am yet to find a solution. I also tried to use a card instead of a slicer, this worked however when no locations were selected, it shows the name of the first location which may confuse users.

in this picture i would like the location slicer to match what was in the map visual.

Thanks so much for all of your help.

@Russ99 , You can reduce slicer to that values, by using the measure on the map and checking for is not blank (in visual level filter)

Or display the values on card,

measure city = selectedvalue(table[city])
