Slicer input based on the outcome of a measure

Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to make a dynamic, automated slicer where the input is from the outcome of a measure.

Here, I have a KPI visual for "Viscosity" and depending on the "Category" choice the KPI goals will be different. Additionally, I have a Measure in the Card visual where there's some background calculations (a bit long to describe). The outcome of the Measure will tell me which "Category" I should use, and this outcome I will use as input in the "Category Choice" slicer.

However, this still requires manual, user input where they have to specify the input in the slicer. I was wondering if I could make an automated, dynamic one where it will automatically take the measure outcome as slicer input everytime data is refreshed.

Hmmm, that's weird. Generally to use a measure in a manner that you cannot generally do so you need to use the disconnected table trick as this article demonstrates: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/Solving-Attendance-with-the-Disconnected-Table-Trick...

But your case sounds even weirder than that. I'm thinking sample data is the place to start. Please see this post regarding How to Get Your Question Answered Quickly: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/How-to-Get-Your-Question-Answered-Quickly/ba-p/38490

@syazwan95 you cannot use measures in a slicer, measures can only be used for visual level filter.
