Slicer filter not applying to table on visual click

Hi,

I have a powerbi report where there are 2 charts. One showing the full period, the other showing a selected period. Both charts are column charts split by A & B. The selected period is driven off of a slicer. I also have a table under both that shows the data points (slicer is not connected to this table).

When I click A on the first chart it correctly filters the table, however when I click A on the second chart (which has a slicer applied) it shows the same results in the table as the first graph (not filtered for the selected period). The implication being the slicer's filter is not carried through to the table.

When I apply a filter directly to the second chart for the selected period then it correctly updates the table with the selected period and A. However I would rather use the slicer for this.

Any thoughts? Thanks

Hi @garethc92 ,

When we click on charts, the result will not affect to the slicer so that the table will not be filtered by it (not be filtered for the selected period). We only can use the slicer to filter the table or apply a filter directly like you tried.
