Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible or if anyone has already recreated the functionality that Datazen had with its Time Navigator?
See video here: Datazen Time Navigator
I'd really like to have this intuitive navigation experience for the consumers or our reports.
Regards,
Kim

Solved! Go to Solution.
It looks like I will have to build the functionality myself for now.
I have raised this idea: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Custom-Visuals-Ideas/Timeline-Navigator-aka-Datazen/idi-p/946234
The ZoomCharts visuals are really good but we're not interested in having to pay another subscription on top of what we already pay.

Thanks @parry2k . Appreciate that.
There are similar ideas elsewhere that I found.
I assume (which is probably a mistake) that MSFT has a way of grouping/categorizing similar community ideas together to get an overall sense of the desire for these changes. There are a number of similar ideas I have found (below) but unless those who create the ideas use similar wording, they can be hard to find. There are also many suggestions around topics of 'time brush slicer' and 'time slicer'. Most of the issues I think would be solved if the integration of the SSRS MR 'time navigator' was done.

@KNP as far as I know there is nothing for grouping but sure some point of time it is going to happen

@KNP did you looked at Time Brush Slicer from Microsoft on market place, it is a custom visual. I highly recommend to read privacy policy before using custom visual, atlhough this one is from Microsoft so that I guess it is ok to use

Hi @parry2k,
Thanks for the reply, I have seen that one. Unfortunately it doesn't quite behave the same way (unless I've missed something in the setup of it).
I may be able to create a workaround (hack) to get similar functionality but it is likely going to be time consuming to get it to work.
It would be awesome to see the better features of SSRS MR (Datazen) integrated in Power BI.
Keen to hear from anyone that has tried to tackle this issue.

Hi @KNP
It may not support use such visual dynamically from SSRS into Power BI.
See :How to intergrate SSRS with Power BI.
As for the time brush slicer, see video here to learn it more quick.
Best Regards
Maggie
