Slicer Options

Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible use a slicer to select all records with a partial word. For example please see attached screenshots.

I have a list of names and rows worth of data. I would like to filter on that list and start typing "cat" and then select all results with "cat" in the name. Column of data.PNG

Is this an option for a slicer?

Thanks!

Hi @NBOnecall ,

If you click on top of the slicer on the 3 dots you can active the search option for the slicer then you can write what you want on the slicer:

If you leave this option active when publishing the users can use it.

Following the option given by @parry2k  you have several ones like:

@MFelix The second option you linked, Text Filter, is the best solution to this I believe. Though you can't deselect ones you don't want it will allow me to get most of the ones I want in my case. The other downside though is that it doesn't sync between pages in the pbix file, oh well.

Thanks!

But on the search and drop down, there isn't a select all function. I would have to go through and indivdually click each one. This isn't the solution I was hoping for.

@NBOnecall

For me this is working by clicking on the slicer, than on format, than on selection controls.

even in a dropdown slicer

@HDD009 but select all option will disappread if you do a search in slicer

I agree that you can select all in that format, but if you hit the ellipsis and choose search you can then type a part of the word, but you can't select all based of that selection.

@NBOnecall that's what I originally replied that unfortunately it is not available.
