Single slicer to filter two unrelated fact tables

Hi all,

I'm having a really hard time coming up with a title to explain exactly what I need, so I'll do my best to explain here. I feel like it should be incredibly simple, but I'm missing something.

I have a dimension table with customer info, linked to two fact tables (different transaction systems) by a 1:many relationship on customer id.

All I want to be able to do is have a slicer on my page with the options "system 1" and "system 2" that shows only the transactions of that type based on the selection, but I can't figure it out.

What am I missing?

Thanks!

(edit: ideally, I'd just like all the data from the two fact tables to be merged into a single table so they can look at everything all at once. However, the two tables don't have identical columns, each with about 700)
