Dear all
Please can you help me …
The standard Power Bi Slicer allows hierarchies and single selection.
But if the user clicks a parent category, then all the child items are selected, thus breaking the single selection rule.
I would like to disable the selection at the parent level, to enforce single child selection policy.
But I still want to keep the nice hierarchy layered structure.
Is that possible with standard or custom visuals?
See attached example.

Single selection is switched on but if you click the large, medium or small category then all items are selected.
I want to keep the large, medium or large hierarchy structure
but prevent the users from selecting the large, medium or small groups.
Forcing the user to just select 1 item and not a whole group.
Kudos for anyone with a good answer,
but please don’t respond saying this is not a current standard feature and I can suggest it as a new feature. I kind of know that ! 😀
I want to hear solutions please. Thank you!
Warmest regards

I found a solution myself.
If anyone need a solution to the same kind of pronlem then try using the HierarchySlicer custom visual
which allows you to configure selection only a "leaf" level.
Hope Microsof include the "leaf" level option in the standard filter visual.
