Hey Everyone 🙂
I have what should be a straight forward request but am unable to figure out how it can be done. Essentially I want to filter on a record so we can show off all the information related to it, but at the same time show other records in the same table relating to it.
There is one table with details about invoices for customers (CustomerID, Month, Amount, InvoiceNo, DateIssued, DueDate, etc.) and we currently have a filter so the user can select one particular invoice and see all the details associated with it (i.e. Invoice 123 -> then show the DueDate, Amount, etc.).
What we would also like to do is show a chart with the total amount of invoices grouped by month.
Therefore, we filter on an invoice in Jul-17 and we want to show all the details relating to that invoice as well as a column chart showing the total amount of invoices for the previous months (Jan-17, Feb-17, etc.).
We've played with interactions and DAX (using CACLULATE with ALL/ALLSELECTED/ALLEXCEPT) but can't seem to get it to work.
Any help would be much appreciated 🙂
Thanks!

Hi @jldaley86,
According to your description above, you should be able to CALCULATE with ALL to get your expected result. The formula below is for your reference.
Total Amount for others = CALCULATE ( SUM ( 'Table1'[Amount] ), FILTER ( ALL ( 'Table1' ), 'Table1'[InvoiceNo] = FIRSTNONBLANK ( 'Table1'[InvoiceNo], 1 ) && 'Table1'[Month] < MAX ( 'Table1'[Month] ) ) )
