Showing manually added data in EDI Table.

Good morning all,

I am having problably a small problem which i can not fix.

In Excel i made a table named "Announcement Tabel" with 2 columns

1 = Loading adresses (Text)

2 = Announcement times (Time)

As example Loadingadress "A" has an announcement time from 30 minutes (the time before the true loadingtime)

When i am having a new adress, i manualy adding the new data in the "Announcent Table" in Excel with the announcement time.

In Power BI i have a "Data Table" feeded by EDI. In this table is the realtion with the "Announcement Table" the name of the loadingadress.

Now my question is,

How can i create in the table "Data Table" 2 new columns which shows me:

Column 1 = Yes/No or empty

Only when Loading adress from "Announcement Table" from Excel matches whith Loading adress from "Data Table".

When the loading adress from "Announcement Table"  is not in the list from the "Data Table" then empty.

Column 2 = Announcement time

The Time value 1:1 from the "Announcement Table".

Can you guys help me?

Thanks,

If you want to fetch a single value from a list of items without a relationship then you can use a pattern like:

Measure =
MAXX ( FILTER ( SALES, Sales[Quantity] = 4 ), Sales[Order Number] )

You might need a pattern like the following to add a column

Exists =
IF(
    CONTAINS( financials , financials[Date] ,Dates[Date] ),
    "Yes",
    "No"
)

Hello Fowmy,

Thank you for this solution for the first part.

This is working great.

Now i am trying to get the announcement time 1:1 into my "Data Table".

When i am trying to use the related function, Power BI tells me i do not have the correct relationship.

My only option for the relationship is Many to Many.

My "Adresses column" in my Excel sheet has only unique values which are also familiar in the "Adresses column" in my Data Table.

But the Adresses in the Data Table has many more adresses than in my Excel sheet.

Do you have any suggestion?

Thank you.

Hello Fowme,

Sorry for my late response.

My solution was easier than i thought.

I only had to merge the column from the imported Excel sheet.

Now it is working great.

Thanks for your time!

Enjoy your evening.
