Showing categories missing in the data as 0 in charts

I have the following line chart:

The x-axis is from the fact table. There are some (theoretical) categories in the dimension table that don't exist in this fact table.

 

The Show items with no value/calculate+0 tricks don't work because those categories are missing entirely from the data.

 

So I tried using the dimension table as the x-axis:

And while all the categories now show, this has created a new problem where the x-axis is not being recognised as a context filter.

 

There is already an active many-to-one relationship between the fact table and the dim table:

How do I resolve this issue?

 

Edit: feeling real silly now...I used the wrong table in the active many-to-one relationship (I have one fact table and another table that has been pivoted and transformed for event-in-progress data). I have changed it to the correct table and now it works as intended:
