Show value on Button click

Hallo experts!

i was trying to find out how buttons work in BI Desktop.

For example i have 2 buttons. When i select the Count button i want to see the second card (27) and when i select the Volume i want to display the first card with the Sum. I tried putting the cards on top of each other. I also tried to add bookmarks but still i cant figure out how that works.

i am using measures for both cards

Measure1 = Count(Sales[OpenQuant])

Measure2 = Sum(Sales[OpenQuant])

Any ideas on hot to achieve that?

Thank you

Hi @marial16 ,

Check this blog of mine where I have shown how one can hide/un-hide visuals based on selections on buttons.

I have considered bar charts, in your case it will be card visuals.

Thanks,

Pragati

Hi @marial16 ,

You should first click the button, then in the Format button pane, turn on the Action option, change the Type to Bookmark, and select the corresponding bookmark you create for each button.

Then Ctrl+click the button to display result.

It was actually working with the right Ctrl key of the keyboard!

Hi @marial16 ,

You need to assign Bookmarks as an Action to the Buttons under format options for Buttons.

Thanks,

Pragati
