Hi,
In order to map time series, I converted the source data into decimals and found it working. An issue, however, is while calculating variance.
See below sample data - if the action time is beyond today, have added 24 hours to calculate variance and it throws up data in non-time format. Expected result in this sample data is -2.51
Any help in getting this time format please?
Action Time | 1.06 | am | Next Day |
Limit | 22.15 | pm | Today |
Variance | -2.91 |
Thanks.
Hi @MaheshMk ,
What does your original data table' structure look like? It may have no the words "Next Day" or "Today" in your table, right?
Best Regards,
Amy
@v-xicai it was mentioned only for reference. Next Day / Today is not part of structure!
Hi @MaheshMk ,
Could you please share your sample data and desired output screenshots for further analysis? You can also upload sample pbix to OneDrive and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploading.

Hi @v-xicai , see attached the data in Excel with comments for the columsn. TimeSeries.xlsx
Variance is the column that needs help on.
After lots of research, trial & error and thanks to
@Greg_Deckler , @konstantinos , @Zubair_Muhammad
have reached a state to get the duration difference in time format.
However, the challenges is difference calculated at Hours/Minute/Second separately and hence giving wrong results.
Can someone help me please?
