Hi Experts,
I am creating a visualization to show the trend of change. I have a date column and the date type is date. But in the option of Axis, there are only date and date hierarchy. How can we group the day, month and year like the picture below?
Many thanks!
Best regards,
Tom
After turning off Concatenate in X-Axis, sort your visual by the value then sort it by Year/Month/Date etc as the concatenation doesn't seem to take effect unless the visual has been sorted by value first.

In the X-Axis area of the formatting for the visual, turn off Concatenate labels, it is on by default.
Hi @TomLU123
Try turning off "Concatenate Labels" in the format properties. I've attached a simple PBIX File that demonstrates.
Hi Phil,
Many thanks for your reply!
I just checked but didn't find "Concatenate Labels" option. Is anthing I need set first?
HI @TomLU123
Looks like the visual you have selected is the Area Chart. You can only do this on certain visuals (like Column, or Column/Line)
Hi Phil, @Phil_Seamark
I tried the column visulization. When I drill down to Month level, I can see the "Concatenate Labels". Noting happend after I turned it off.
But if I drill down to day level, I can not see the "Concatenate Labels".
Is there anything wrong in my setting?
Many thanks!
Best regards,
Tom
Hi Phil, @Phil_Seamark
No, I am using the the one besides it.
Should I use the one you highlighted?
Many thanks!
Best regards,
Tom
