Hypothetical question since I will only build based on what is possible
I have a data snapshot that is run daily. Same attributes but different run dates. I essentially need to compare 2 tables then define an outflow and inflow rate.
Outflow = Id's in table 1 not in table 2
Inflow = id's in table 2 not in table 1
Would this be possible to do... I was thinking of showing total volume table 1, total volume table 2 and then outflow as a separate colum and then inflow as a 4th column
Hi @NOVICE02 ,
Then you can create measures and tables like DAX below.
Measure:
Total volume table1=SUM(Table1[volume])
Total volume table2=SUM(Table2[volume])
Table:
Calendar= CALENDARAUTO()
Outflow = EXCEPT ( VALUES( Table1[ID] ), VALUES( Table2[ID] ))
Inflow = EXCEPT ( VALUES( Table2[ID] ), VALUES( Table1[ID] ))
For the new created tables above, you may create relationships with original two tables in "Both" of Cross filter direction.
Best Regards,
Amy

Thank you!
@NOVICE02 , I think I got it you need to check except
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dax/except-function-dax
Also, check union and intersect
@NOVICE02 , Not very clear.
You can create common dimensions, Date Calendar dimension and join with these two tables and compare data
