Hi All ,
Is there a way to get a tooltip displayed while hovering over an image in a Power BI Dashboard ?
Thanks in advance ,
Ismail
Depeding of what you need you can use emoticons.
For example if you want to show a 🛈 icon to show a page with that info, you can createa a measur with that emoticon (Information Icon = "🛈") and add it to a card. That card visual let you to configure a ToolTip
Page ToolTips for Buttons & Images does not exist yet, hopefully this will become a standard feature in the future but for now this is a good work around, have a look at the following YouTube post.
Power BI - Report Page Tooltip Over ANY Visual : https://youtu.be/IURWlw2_6Ks
You can create table of images with image url, then put it into visual with tooltip option (Table,...)
Has this functionality been added yet?
This very helpful for end users while using a button/ or navigation purposes
@aritraacharya @TheMayneLine Hope you are looking something like this.

Could you provide step by step instructions on how to do this?
I have overlayed a hyperlinked text box over an image, but I cannot figure out how to add a tooltip.
Hi @Anonymous
Drag a field into the Tooltips bucket in the Fields well of the Visualizations pane.
Once tooltips are added to the field well, hovering over a data point on the visualization shows the values for those fields in the tooltip.

Maggie
Hello Maggie ,
Thanks for the response ,
Actually as I mentionned on my post I need the ToolTip to be applied not only on charts but on images as well .
Not sure if there is any possible way to do that ?
Thanks ,
Ismail
Hi @Anonymous
Do you refer to this kind of "image"?
As searched and tested, it is not possible to do that.
Best Regards
Maggie
Yep that is exactly what I wanted also. I have an image. I have an action on it. I would like to say: "Click here to show menu"
@TheMayneLine @Anonymous ,
You can find an option,
Select the image go to Formatting -> Action -> Tooltip and enter the text what you want to say.
@Anonymous,
Currently, No. However, you can post this as an Idea - https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas
Thanks,
