Hello all, I have a Matrix visual that I'm using to list attributes (measures) related to Products. For example, Sales, Revenue etc. The sum of Sales and Revenues works and shows fine in the Totals row. Now I want to add the count of Products. How do I do this, without adding a column with 1 for each row of Product?
for example,
Product | Code | Sales | Revenue
Prod A | BRE | 700 | 700000
Prod B | GHR | 500 | 600000
Totals | 2 | 1300 | 1300000
Any help is appreciated!

No. I'm afraid it is not possible. Matrix can not count the Total for srouce table itself. We should give Matrix a value.
Thanks,
Xi Jin.
Did you mean this?
If you want to get the count of Products. You can simply put the Product column into Values of Matrix visual and choose Count. And if you want to use measure to calculate the total count of products, you can try COUNTROWS(tablename).
If above sample doesn't satisfy your requirement, could you please share us more detailed information like some screenshots of your Matrix and your desired result if possible?
Thanks,
Xi Jin.
This works, but inserts a column. I'm trying to not have a column that just has "1" on every row to get the total count since it's ugly. Is it possible to have the count on the Total row without having a column for it?
No. I'm afraid it is not possible. Matrix can not count the Total for srouce table itself. We should give Matrix a value.
