Do PBIX files include also confidential information like:
I'd like to share it with a remote user, who will run it on his own PBI Desktop, however, I'd like to share data only. I clearly do not wish to share the server access details.
Is that possible?

The remote user can see the database address in the query editor. However, The credential won't be shared/stored in the PBIX file. The user must enter the credentials if it is Direct Query mode. In Import connection, the credentials are optional until unless if the user wants to refresh the data.

You can try the following steps to remove the credentials of the current file:
1.In the Home page, choose Edit Queries, then select Data source settings
2.When you open Data source settings, you will see all the data sources you have connected before.
3.You can choose Clear Permissions to clear your selected data source’s credentials or Clear All Permissions for all data sources.
If you select Global permissions, it will just show the data source name:
